A Funeral
My final performance in life

When I’m dead I want to merge with ocean and sky For my ash to fly while my body bobs As a final wish I want to burn away the lie To swim in tears as my audience sobs When I’m dead I want my lingering passion to blaze in the night Return to the place where stars burn bright To rest once again in my lovers light When I die I want to ease softly calmly into my last sigh I want to be held in tender arms and witness this time a soft song whispering of love forever more Then my chest expands and prepares For the ultimate beat to drop The last ripple of a singular existence Vibrating in resistance of returning to eternity Now On my return to Earth I know my death is nowhere near I hold life as dear As death draws me close It’ll have to wait I suppose—d

Beautiful! I loved how this Viking funeral photo resonated with the picture I have in my mind about death! It’s always a great mystery writing about Him, and amazing at the same time! Great pice <3
